MemberDirect Online Banking

ECU offers you the convenience of on-line banking, which includes electronic statement delivery and the option for mobile banking. MemberDirect® On-line banking is FREE of charge to Education Credit Union members. It's quick and easy to enrol for this service and you will be able to access your account safely and securely through the Internet – anytime, anywhere.

  • Access your deposit account balances
  • Access your loan balances
  • Pay your bills
  • Add/Remove bill payment vendors **NEW**
  • Transfer funds between accounts within the same
    member number to to another member number (Must be pre-arranged through your branch)
  • Obtain transaction history on your accounts and print a statement
  • Download your transaction history to Quicken® or Microsoft Money® (Certain conditions apply)

MemberDirect employs the highest level of security available to protect the confidentiality of your account information and the integrity of your transactions. To sign up for MemberDirect Online Banking - a free service to Education Credit Union members - simply contact your branch and speak to a Member Services Representative.

MemberDirect Mobile Web

The Mobile Web service available in through MemberDirect provides smart phone users with access to the same banking functions as MemberDirect Online Banking. If your cell phone has a desktop-class browser, you can use it to access
mobile banking features such as transaction history, bill payments, transfers between accounts and account summaries. Our MemberDirect Mobile Web service supports a wide number of devices and, therefore, is not tied to a specific mobile device provider. Users of smart phones will have best user experience in using the Mobile Web service.

What does Mobile Web provide?

The Mobile Web service allows its users to perform the following banking
functions:

  • View account balances and activity
  • Perform immediate and future-dated transfers
  • View scheduled transfers
  • Delete scheduled transfers
  • Make immediate and future-dated payments
  • View scheduled bill payments
  • Delete scheduled bill payments

How Mobile Web is Different from Mobile Banking via SMS Text Messages?

One difference between the Mobile Web service and SMS mobile banking is that
Mobile Web allows clients to perform transactions such as making bill payments
and transferring funds.

Another difference is that a phone with SMS functionality has only voice and
text functionality, while an advance mobile device has full browser functionality
as well as GPS and multi-media capabilities.

How to I Access Mobile Web?

If you have signed up for MemberDirect Online banking you already have access! Simply click on the Mobile Web link on the left, under the Quick Links menu, enter your branch, member number and personal identification number and you're in!

MemberDirect Mobile Banking

Mobile banking gives you real-time access to your accounts wherever you happen to be through SMS - or text messaging. It’s fast, it’s easy and it’s free.*

Mobile banking works on all text-enabled phones. It doesn’t matter what kind of cell phone you have, as long as you can send and receive text messages. Check your balances and recent account activity from anywhere you can get a signal - instantly.

You’ll get the account information you want, when you need it, without having to find a computer. Have complete peace of mind with the ability to check what’s going on in your account.

Your personal information is always secure - the only details transmitted will be your account balance or recent account activity. Even if you lose your phone, no one can make changes to your account, steal funds, or see your personal and financial information. And, it’s quick and easy to cancel mobile banking if needed.

To go mobile, all you need is access to MemberDirect Online Banking. Don’t have it?  Contact your branch to sign up today.

If you’re already an online banking user:

  • Login to your online banking account and click the mobile banking image on the left hand side.
  • Enter your mobile phone information.
  • You’ll receive a text message with your passcode.
  • Confirm your passcode and select the accounts you want to access with mobile banking.

Once you’ve signed up, it’s easy to use.

Account Balance

To check your account balance, simply text BAL to MONEY (66639). Within moments, you will receive a text message with your account balance information.

All Account Balances

To check all of your account balances, simply text BAL ALL to MONEY (66639). You’ll receive a text message with the balance information for all your selected accounts.

Transaction History

To view your recent account activity, simply text ACT to MONEY (66639). You’ll receive a text message with the five most recent
transactions on your account.

To make things even simpler, you can save the short code MONEY (66639) in your phone for quick and easy access. You can even save your text messages and simply resend for future use.

MemberDirect Phone Banking

MemberDirect Telephone banking is FREE of charge to Education Credit Union members. You can:

  • Access your deposit account balances
  • Access your loan balances
  • Pay your bills
  • Transfer funds between accounts
  • Obtain transaction history on your accounts

Contact us by phone or through e-mail at and we will activate your account for MemberDirect service. The first time you call and select the personal banking menu, you will be asked to choose a Private Access Code so that you and no one else can obtain your financial information. If you like, we can even give you a MemberDirect demonstration.
