ECU Involvement in Our Community

Credit unions have a long-standing reputation for supporting social and environmental organizations through staff volunteers and/or financial assistance, and awarding scholarships and bursaries to youth. ECU focuses upon programs related to education and our youth.

Nutrition for Learning

With the help of our members, ECU is able to participate and donate to Nutrition for Learning. As at the end of August 2017, over 3,000 members and non-members have signed up to receive email resulting in a total donation of $4,006 to Nutrition for Learning ($1 per email)!

The Ontario Credit Union Charitable Foundation is a Community Partnership Matching Program that supports requests to match funds for charities, focusing on poverty, educational or medical related causes. The Foundation funds the community building program by revenue from donations, sponsorships and support of fund raising events. Click here for more information.

Cambridge Fire Fighters

Each December, ECU helps the Cambridge fire fighters in their collection of Toys for Tots: A campaign to raise money to purchase toys for the children of the Cambridge community.
